Berean Standard Bible
2For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.
Just as you have given him authority over all flesh, so that everything you have given him he may give them — eternal life.
The word *exousian* (authority) is rendered plainly as "authority" — it is delegated power given by the Father to the Son, preserving the clear sender/sent distinction: the Son's authority originates with the Father. The structure "just as… so that" reflects the *kathōs… hina* construction, showing purpose flowing from the Father's prior act of giving.
Berean Standard Bible
2For You granted Him authority over all people, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him.
King James Version
2As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Goodspeed New Testament
2just as you have done in giving him power over all mankind, so that he may give eternal life to all whom you have given him.
